Absolutely love this product! Sturdy as a knlfe, fork or spoon. And all in one item!! Can't go wrong having some of these in your home or apartment. Useable for all sorts of things. They seem to be of good quality and they're lightweight so they should be useful for backpacking. A nice feature that I haven't had a chance to use yet is the "knife" on the edge of the fork. These seem pretty durable so I think using the serration for cutting softer foods would be fine. You're probably not going to be able to saw through a steak or slice bread but for basic knife duties these should suffice.
